Vitamins

Rice provides a variety of B vitamins that play a role in energy metabolism. Brown rice contains a moderate amount of thiamin, niacin, and vitamin B6. White rice is high in thiamin and folate and contains a moderate amount of niacin .

Minerals

Brown rice is high in manganese and magnesium and also contains a moderate amount of phosphorus and small amounts of zinc and copper. White rice is also high in manganese in addition to selenium. Each serving also contains moderate amounts of Iron and small amounts of phosphorus and magnesium.
